Lester Wisbrod claims to be the inventor of the selfie: genius or idiot?

Selfie Selfie Selfie... there's no time of day when you can't help but hear somebody saying the S word or see somebody taking one. This is the new social trend, just surrender.

VIP selfie, friends' selfie, TV talking about selfie... it's a must! Like it or not, it's everywhere, at the extent that some newspapers (even influencial Los Angeles Times) are trying to explain how this phenomenon got contagious worldwide. After significant research the selfie inventor has apparently been found.

It's Mr. Lester Wisbrod, a 67-year-old retired cameraman from Hollywood who claims to have invented the selfie back in the 80s. His selfie collection boasts of over a hundred shots showing himself together with a movie or TV star, a famous sportsman or politician.

Hard to say whether Mr. Wisbrod was a megalomaniac or a powerful influencer who infected the whole world with his idea, anyways, the trend has become overwhelming by now !

Mr. Wisbrod may have even invented the selfie, but what is certain is that HostelsClub has created a dedicate hashtag: #hostelsclubselfie.
