Celebrate New Year's Eve in St. Mark's Square

To honor the tradition again, Venice will welcome the New Year with the big firework show in Bacino San Marco! St. Mark's Square will be illuminated with thousands of lights inviting guests to celebrate the beginning of the coming year.

If you are looking for something special, to anticipate the firework this year there is also a boat dinner along the Venetian canals: the tour will start at 19:45 from Riva delle Zattere, to continue with a slow navigation into the Giudecca Canal, San Nicola Canal and to the Port of the Venice Lido, the end of the tour will be in Riva dei Sette Martiri where you can get off and participate in New Year's Eve celebrations in St. Mark's Square.

For the more adventurous, the appointment on the Lido has to be marked. Since the early morning many swimmers come together to celebrate the new year by immersing themselves in the cold waters of the lagoon in front of Blue Moon establishment.

A consolidated tradition to welcome the new year! The ibernist, after swimming in the sea, between smiles and fun, will eat all togheter some traditional dishes directly on the beach.

Please note that in this place it's forbidden to bring fireworks or other exploding material.
