A time-lapse trip to New Zealand

Let us show you the pristine nature of a far away paradise

Kiwi Landscape

New Zealand, with its evocative pristine landscapes, is a real paradise for nature lovers. Watch Nathan Kaso's short documentary called "The waters of Greenstone" here below and then let us know if you also fall in love with it!

The technique used for this video is called time-lapse: film frames are captured in a much lower frequency than that used to view the sequence. What comes out reminds us of those National Geographics documentaries where 3 days of a flower's blooming are turned into a 5-second footage.

This video has been filmed in Southern Island (you may not know that New Zealand is made up of two main islands, Northern and Southern Island) and features breathtaking views of Fiordland and Arthur's Pass national parks.

Enjoy wonderful Kiwi landscapes!

We hope you're now curious to discover more about New Zealand! It has not become a mass tourism destination (yet) and to us it is one of the most incredible places in the world. Reaching New Zealand may not be that simple, though. It may be a little expensive too. However, at some point in your life you need to make an investment. If you are saving money for a special trip New Zealand is definitely a remarkable option!

There may be no direct flights from your country, but China Airlines, Emirates or Qantas frequently fly to Auckland (in Northern Island) or Christchurch (in Southern Island). If you book in advance you can get a return ticket for 800 euros – including at least one stopover, of course.

Once you've managed to afford the flight, New Zealand will get closer and closer. Indeed you can save on your accommodation, as there are some really good value budget hostels where you can sleep on a €15/20 budget per night. Opt for Nomads Hostels Chain, which features properties in New Zealand, Australia and Fiji.
