The city of Frankfurt is Germany's financial and transport hub. Frankfurt is famous for the stock exchange, fairs and skyscrapers but not necessarily as a tourist destination. However a holiday in Frankfurt, especially during the summer, is worth the experience. Although Frankfurt is the business centre of Germany, it is easy to book cheap accommodation in Frankfurt. The Main Fest – at the Römerberg, 1 - 4 August 2014

Vistit Frankfurt for the Frankfurt Summer Festival on the Main River with live music by the river! It is fun for everybody! The Fountain of Justice will be transformed into a wine fountain for the occasion! Children can enjoy carousels, festival rides, games, raffles and shooting games. This event finishes with a traditional firework show! It is one of the mostly popular events in Frankfurt: the Mainfest was originally a festival for fishermen and boatmen in the city and has taken place since the 14th century!

Hesse is a region in Germany with a long tradition of wine harvesting and Frankfurt celebrates it with The Franknfurt Rheingau Wine Festival from September 3-14. The whole food area will be in the shopping zone in Frankfurt with more than 600 wines from the Rheingau region at 30 vineyard stands. This is a paradise for everybody who loves good wine and food.

The Frankfurt Christmas Market, End of November - 24 of December

Do not miss also the Frankfurt Christmas Market with its elaborate and creative stand decorations, the huge christmas tree. Here you can enjoy hot glint wine, delicious Apfelweine, Frankfurter solstices and other regional delicatessen.

Velvet Club in Frankfurt (big)

Frankfurt is the place to visit if you like to party! The mostly famous discos in Frankfurt are the Cocoon Club, Velvet Club and King Kamehameha. The Cocoon Club (Carl Benz Str. 21), is officially one of the most fashionable clubs in Germany- You will dance here to the best techno, tech-house and electro music and on weekends they have a vast program of live acts and special events. King Kamehameha is a club for alternative electro and house fans and during hotter nights you can enjoy their beach area.
