An experience you will never forget!
Çıralı is a quiet village that lies hidden in the Olimpos Beydağlari National Park, a conservation area of great natural beauty and historical importance. It is a long, long way away from the centers of mass tourism, which makes it the ideal destination for those who wish to enjoy the dramatic beauty of the Turkish Riviera. Çıralı is the starting point of many marked hiking trails, most of which are part of the famous Lycian Way, a walk that has been proclaimed one of the ten most rewarding in the world. These trails take you across vast pine forests from snow-capped mountains to secluded beaches; from traditional nomadic settlements to ruins of ancient times; from Ottoman towns to stunning views of the Mediterranean; across uninhabited highlands to lush forested valleys; and underneath a bright, starry sky to the very spot where eternal flames recall the fight between the Greek hero Bellerophon and the fire-breathing chimera. Çıralı beach is a clean, unspoilt, 5-km long strip of sand which offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. At one end lie the ruins of the ancient port of Olympos while the other is favored by the Mediterranean loggerhead, a protected species of turtle that returns here every year to lay its eggs in the sand. Çıralı's hotels and guest houses consist of either separate chalets or small, single-storey blocks of rooms located in lush, park-like gardens. Some have direct access to the beach, while others are located closer to the mountains. These are some of our favorites: Etenna Bungalows, Cesur Pansiyon, Melisa Pansiyon, Bellerofon Bungalows, Hotel Odile, Ozge Bungalows, Blue Paradise, and the Smile Butık Hotel. There are a variety of quaint restaurants - some of which are located directly on the beach - where you can order meals made to your specifications. All food is prepared from organic, home-grown produce. Treat yourself to a holiday in Çıralı for an experience you will never forget.
