One of the best hostels I've been to! Very clean, free towels, 2 blanket & pillows on every bed, free lockers (just bring your own lock). Bathrooms can be a little crowded, but are still pretty clean and showers have enough space to put all your stuff and have free soap. Very helpful and friendly staff, only 2-minute-walk to the subway station or 10-minutes walk to Central Park. Different tours and activities are offered daily. Great chill-out and kitchen area, tv room and lots of choices in the coffee shop. I felt safe all the time as people just can get in with their chipcards (which is also the key for the room). All in all a great place to stay and really worth the money (which is not much for NYC standard ;-) ).

We were very dissapointed. We came to hostel and no reservation for us was made. We were supposed to have double room,but the hostel was overbooked! Also we tried to contact this hostel reservation but no one talk to us. This is not profesional at all and I would not recommend this web side and jazz hostel to anyone

It's a great deal, the location is just PERFECT, and the staff sooooo friendly!!Some people complain about the clean, but this is up to the guest, the owner is always there cleaning at least once per day. Very nicce deal!

This is one of my best hostel experiences. The people and atmosphere was awesome. It's not a party hostel, so it's not for people looking for huge hostel parties. It's NYC, the fun is out in the city!

I enjoyed staying at this Brooklyn hostel - subway was nearby and you could get to the City within 25min. The only thing I would recommend other travelers is to ask for a room that is not at the street side as it can be pretty noisy during day and night!

two story walk up to a dirty one-bedroom apartment with 8 bunks. no security no help. good location good price.
