Our aim at The Pickled Frog is to provide you with an all round fabulous Tasmanian experience. Our local staff are here to book your tours, help with travel advice, entertain you and serve you specially priced Tasmanian beers at the end of a long day. We have loads of free trips and activities to offer and really want to make sure you enjoy your stay not just at The Frog, but in Hobart in general.
Located in the heart of beautiful Hobart, Tasmanian owned Pickled Frog Backpackers is a fun, warm and social hostel now with free Internet and Wi-Fi, delicious organic coffee and heaps of space for you to chill out after a long day enjoying the sites of Hobart

Room types
We have about 25 rooms with our rooms varying from private single, double and twin rooms to our 3, 4, 6, 8 & 12 bed dorm rooms. All our rooms are shared bathrooms except out apartment which is fully self contained.
Location and surroundings
Located in the heart of beautiful Hobart we are perfectly placed for you to explore all the city has to offer. We are on the edge of the city centre; about a 4 minute walk to the heart of the city and about a 10 minute walk to the harbour. We are also conveniently located very close to the start of the beautiful Hobart Rivulet walk.
Services and facilities
Almost the entire bottom floor of the building is dedicated to common areas. There are couches everywhere, bean bags, hammocks, booths, pool table, video arcade games, board games, free wifi everywhere, free computers to use, open log fires in winter, giant TV, over 500 free DVD's to choose from. FREE WiFi, FREE car parks, HUGE lounge, cheap beer, a wolf, real coffee, lotsa love, tour info & bookings, games, free movies, carbon neutral & much more.
