Room types
The hostel is ideally suited to accommodate large groups, providing access to various multi-functional areas within the building. The bedrooms are all bright, clean and spacious, featuring private sanitary facilities. We have private rooms en-suite for 4 and 6 people as well as basic 4/6-budget shared dormitories (all with private bathroom). Dorm rooms can be mixed, male or only female. Stayokay Amsterdam Oost is also a wheelchair friendly hostel.
Location and surroundings
The city’s must-see attractions are only a fifteen-minute cycle or short tram trip away. Take a tour of the canals by boat, visit world famous museums or head off shopping along the colourful Kalverstraat. There’s always plenty to do at the hostel in the evening!
Services and facilities
Stayokay has many common facilities such as; a bar, restaurant, cafe and terrace. Towels are available at an extra charge. Free WiFi is available throughout the building.
Rooms are available from 14.00 hour onwards. However, you are more than welcome to check in early, store your luggage in one of the lockers and start your day in Amsterdam.

The hostel was very clean and rooms are big with convenient layout. The only downsides were the fact that the hostel is so big it was a little harder to meet people and also not very soundproof from the street noise and people in the courtyard.
Enormous hostel, with more than 100 rooms, buffet breakfast included. The room was clean and you can meet a lot of people. There's a basketball court just in front of the hostel, and you can borrow a ball at the reception. The onlyh problem was the location: about 40 minutes walk to the city center, it's served by tram, bus and trains but it's quite difficult to find one after 2 AM
The hostal has big big rooms, it's very quiet and the staff very very kind. It is about 10-12 min from the center of Amsterdam by Tram. The breakfast is very good. It is a very good option for tourist and a very good price.
