Excellent location in downtown Ottawa, it is a 2 minute walk to the Byward Market; the area is served by a 24-hour supermarket and a liquor store which are 2 minutes away. The Parliament, the US Embassy, the Art Gallery and the Rideau Canal are all within short walking distance.

The common kitchen is the ideal place to meet other international backpackers. Several nights and social events takes place on a regular basis, including cake nights and movie nights. An amazing place to stay, it exceeded all expectations and I would return in a heartbeat.
Dorms are really nice, but double beds are actually curtain-separated cabinets in the basement. If you change your reservation through phone, make them repeat the new version, since they don't send another email.
