About Orchard Hideaways
Orchard Hideaway Camping Pod site is a rural retreat overlooking farm land and open country side with a railway line, but is only 0.5 miles off Junction 40 on the M6 motorway. The Location has the big advantage of feeling that you are in the country but having all the facilities of Penrith within walking distance, with eating places on your doorstep. It is a small, friendly, family run site with 16 pods, set in an orchard of ancient apple trees.

Room types
There are 16 Pods in total. Varying from a number of different lay outs, styles and can accommodate a different number of people dependant on which pod you choose. Pods can hold between 2-4 people. They all contain basic kitchen appliances like kettle, microwave, plates, mugs and cutlery and are fully insulated with heating and lighting.
Location and surroundings
Penrith is a market town and civil parish in the county of Cumbria, England. Penrith lies less than 3 miles outside the boundaries of the Lake District National Park. Historically a part of Cumberland. Cafe's, restaurants, bars, shops and countless activities all within the town. Little Chef and Burger King 30 second walk around the corner. Rheged tourist attraction 5 minute walk down the road. Half way between Land's End and John O'Groats, a perfect stopping point.
Services and facilities
You will have access to your own private pod, anywhere on the site (excluding other people's pods). There are 5 Individual shower and toilet rooms. 2 individual female toilets, 1 male toilet room and a disabled/family shower and toilet room. Each shower room has a hair dryer in it. There is also a washing up area.
