Location and surroundings
Nazaré has long been a popular destination for tourists, with it's delightful mix of beautiful beaches, strong traditional culture, relaxing atmosphere and interesting history as a fishing village. Located on the Costa de Prata (Silver Coast), it is considered by some to be among the best beaches in Portugal.
In recent years, Nazaré has become famous for big wave tow-in surfing and now attracts some of the world's top pro surfers (there is also good surfing on normal waves on nearby beaches).
