Matahari Cottage Bed and Breakfast, Bed & Breakfast in Ubud

It´s located very close to Ubud Palace, appr. 5 minutes by foot. Supermarket around the corner, 2 minutes by food. Post office, 1 minute by food. You´ll get a good breakfast and an afternoon tea with lots of cake included in your room fee. It´s a place like you have dreamed of but situated in city center.

Lovely and verrry inviting hosts! All were genuinely welcoming and helpful despite language barriers. Breakfasts were good and innovative. Other guests were totally friendly and adventuring like me. An all around lovely experience.

An absolute disgrace. Hardly any services listed on their web site were actually provided. Not worth $70/night. Do not recommend to stay here unless desperate. Never again.

Staff doesn't really speak English well. When wanting to settle my bill, the supervisor was away, and the clerk on duty did not understand English well. Remainder amount was not communicated to the desk clerk well, and I had to spend some time explaining the details to him.

Matahari is a nice place to stay but the time we have been there they maintained a lot of things and so it was not that nice. The stuff was confused about the reservation and we get an upgrade.
