The district itself is very local and typical, and served by endless small bar and entertainment venues. With such a great location, it's very easy to reach Bairro Alto and Alfama. Avenida de Marquês is also within walking distance.

Awesome place to stay! Clean and well located! Staff was cool. Nice chillout living room. I recommend it! PS: Lisbon is beautiful
The hostel was really nice and the breakfast was just fantastic! The bathrooms and everything were really clean, although the toilets, the showers and generally the bathrooms themselves are really small. But never mind. There were 2 showers, 2 toilets and 3 washbasins as well as hot water all the time! The kitchen is just perfectly equipped! The two computers are free for use (with internet)! The living room is very comfortable! There is a separate smoking area (so no need to go somewhere outside)! The sleeping rooms are small, but you have the possibility to take a locker. And big plus (at least in our bedroom) there were no squeaking beds! Once again: a big plus for the cleanness and the friendly staff that is speaking many languages and that is really helpful whenever you have a question.
We stayed in a nice private room in the Chillout hostel. Hostel is clean, staff very sympatic, some parties are organised. I recommend it !!!
