Khaosan Baan Thai, Guest House in Bangkok

The place is nice. The room I got was biiig, clean, and simple. Unfortunately, the mattress is quit hard (monk's style I suppose...). The hotel is a relative good place, you may walk to Banglampoo (backpacker area) or just take a bus to Grand Palace or to China Town. Although I think this is a good option, you may find better prices around (not so many) for similar rooms.

Well located, nice and very helpful staff; they made you to be as at home. We've been a couple of nights: One in a double with fan: good size, light and space. No needed the A/C. Pretty happy with it. Another in a room with a bunk and fan: this is a bit tiny. Short of space for the luggage but the rest very good. Though it ws a little bit small, we didn't need the A/C either. Fans worked properly. Mattreses in both are the typical hard ones in Asia, but we like hard beds, so it was not a problem at all. Cleanliness excellent. Breakfast is included, that it's convenient. It was quite good (for the price we paid for the accomodation). You can find guides of Thailand, so if you don't have yours, that is pretty helpful. We'll be back in Khaosan Baan Thai the next time in BKK.

We found the place easily with a helpful taxi driver but it's not the most obvious location. Once you're in though it's fantastic. Wonderful decoration and extremely helpful staff. I won't be looking for anywhere else to stay if I return to Bangkok.

We really liked being taken care of by the lady at the reception, she is amazing! Bathrooms are big and clean, breakfast is great. Beds are a bit hard though. Service is great, many thanks to all teh team.
