The best reasons to stay with us are that it will feel like home away from home. You will make friends and have people to chat with instead of being shut away, alone in a hotel room. We are close to lots of activities that you can walk to and lots of areas that demand visiting like Jerome, Sedona, and the Grand Canyon.
We are comfortable, affordable, clean, and friendly in a local neighborhood.
House in the Pines Hostel is run but an avid traveler and backpackers and it is just like feeling "home away from home". It provides dormitories and private rooms in small cottages. There is a kitchen and a living room. WiFi is free oh charge

Room types
House in the Pines Hostel consists of 2 cottages on a 3 filled lot. The first cottage was built before 1901 from 3 existing railroad houses dating back into the 1800's. You can feel the quaintness of the times while enjoying the conveniences of a modern day.
The first cottage, Ponderosa Cottage, has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a third sink available for the small tasks while waiting for a bathroom. The cottage also has the large, comfy living room for hanging out.
Location and surroundings
We are very close to the city center, the Courthouse Plaza, and the neighborhood that surrounds the center is designated a historic district at the city, state, and federal level. Prescott use to be the capital of Arizona and very much a part of the history of the wild, wild west.
We are also close to the historic mining town of Jerome, the stunning red rocks of Sedona, multiple scenic drives including Oak Creek Canyon, the Grand Canyon is a day trip from here.

We probably covered all of this in the sections above but we are proud to tell you again about our awesome living room that offers a variety of cozy couches and chairs to curl up in. We have games and books for your added entertainment. The kitchen is large and user friendly. A great fridge to put your food and it has a water and ice dispenser in the door.
