The hostelry Pierre du Calvet, built in 1725, is an ancestral family mansion. With its exceptional decorations, antique furnishings.
All our 9 rooms offer a tranquil haven and provide all our clients need to create a memorable imprint that will last a lifetime.
Our luxurious rooms are furnished with antiques, mahogany canopy beds, superior quality Egyptian cotton linens, fireplaces, private bathrooms and a living-in area. Rates may vary according to room configuration and size.
Location and surroundings
Montreal is just buzzing with historical sites, museums and art galleries that just want to be discovered. You can embark on a cultural adventure on your own or ask for the services of a tour guide. The Calvet house was built in 1725 inside the city's fortified walls, under the French regime. It's the oldest historical house that is open for public accommodations in Montreal. Located at the corner of Bonsecours and Saint-Paul streets, it's massive and imposing with it's stone walls and chimney's
Services and facilities
The library is comfortably furnished with a sitting area in front of a big fireplace and old refectory tables propitious for reading or business meetings. It is an ideal room that can also accommodate small groups of 35 people. Adjacent to the reception area, our small Victorian greenhouse or interior garden as we also call it is located in the heart of the house. It is a relaxing area where one can sit and enjoy a cocktail while talking with our parrots.
