Location and surroundings
The historic center of Remedios, also declared a National Monument in 1980, has its starting point in the current José Martí square, now known as the Parroquial and Isabel II.
Among the treasures of the town is the museum dedicated to the outstanding Cuban musician Alejandro García Caturla, born in the town in 1906 and who hoards in his home many exponents linked to his artistic work.
