Room types
The rooms are basic, the mattresses and pillows are comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep.
The communal bathrooms are located alongside the main common area. Behind the saloon-style doors are three showers and three toilets, separated bathrooms for men and women. The bathrooms are adequately cleaned on a daily basis.
Location and surroundings
Located at the bottom of La Candelaria (old town) part of Bogotá, Hostel Bakano is perfectly located to explore the city. From here you are five minutes' walk to the closest TransMilenio (bus) stop (Las Aguas) and less than ten minutes' walk from all the museums and other major landmarks. The area is crammed with bars and restaurants. A taxi from the airport should take about twenty-five minutes.
Services and facilities
As you walk through the front doors, you are faced by a communal space featuring two hammocks and a couple of small seats. Further back is the kitchen area with a cooker and all utensils that you would need to rustle up something for yourself.
