About Dave's Place St Lucia
Who doesn't want to visit a World Heritage site meters away at budget prices? St Lucia is the most Southern point of Lake St Lucia. This area was proclaimed a World Heritage Site in 1999 and recently, the adjacent Wetlands Park, was renamed iSimangaliso Wetlands Park, meaning "Place of Wonder/Miracle". This is in recognition of it's superlative natural beauty and unique global values.
Dave's Place St Lucia is the newest backpacker accommodation in St Lucia and is the only backpackers with both a bar and restaurant on the premises.

Room types
We have 2 x 8-bed and 1 x 6-bed dorm room units in our downstairs area. Upstairs we have 4 x twin rooms with single beds and 2 x triple rooms, also with single beds. Linen is included and rooms are equipped with fans. Seperate men's and women's shared bathroom facilities are available.
Location and surroundings
We are only 50 meters away from the road leading to the jetty where the boats for the Hippo and Crock Tours take place. If you are lucky, sometimes hippos graze at night right in front of Dave's Place and monkeys can between in the trees during the day. The village is a mere stroll away where you can find shops, restaurants, bars, banks, etc. There are plenty of popular activities and alot to see.
Services and facilities
The facility is based in a double-story building, all under one huge thatched roof, which gives Dave's Place St Lucia a tropical feel. There is an upper deck communal area with couches and a TV upstairs and an extended wooden deck dining area downstairs. We have a fully equipped self-catering kitchen with utensils, stoves, a microwave and a fridge/freezer. There is also a huge swimming pool with a super tube on the premises.
