About Castello di Selvole
Most of our guests come to look for relaxation and tranquility after a frantic tour program elsewhere. Otherwise they can use Selvole as a base from which they can travel to so many beautiful places of interest, San Gimignano, Volterra, Pienza, Montalcino, Montepulciano, not to forget Florence, Lucca and Pisa. After an exhausting day touring around, they can also relax completely by the pool with a glass or wine or a delicious Tuscan meal for dinner.

Room types
The apartments are former farm houses converted into 19 holiday apartments. The bigger apartments have two double bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen and living room (for 4 to 6 guests). The smaller ones have one double bedroom, a bathroom, kitchen and a living room (for 2 to 4 guests). All apartments has double sofa bed. For those apartments without kitchen, buffet breakfast is included. Towels and sheets are provided and changed once a week for guests staying more than a week.
Location and surroundings
From Selvole, one can go to Vagliagli, a small town about 4 kms away, with its restaurants, bar/pizzeria, bank, small food shop and a pharmacy that is open a few times a week. Otherwise, there is also Ponte a Bozzone, another small town about 7 kms away, where there are also two restaurants, a bar and food shop and a church. There is also a bus stop with buses going back and forth to Siena few times a day. Siena is only 12 kms away with convenient access to the station and supermarkets.
Services and facilities
All the apartments surround a swimming pool and a garden. Right in front of the big parking space there is the reception, bar and restaurant. There is also a big veranda outside the restaurant where the guests can enjoy their drinks while they read their books or their tablets. There is also a private tennis court closer to the entrance for our guests. Wi-fi is available on the property.

Excellent countryside area, very interesting housing arrangement, friendly people. Next time we will definitely stay longer.
I loved this place although the breakfast was very disappointing. It was sweet and quaint and Beatrice was a lovely host. The tour of the wine cellar was very interesting and I think that a tour of the grounds would be very interesting such as the history of the winery, the purpose of the buildings, etc. I will surely come back.
You need a car to get here as it is so far from siena but the views accomodation made up for that. very romantic.
