As we arrived at Casa Isabel Havana on new years' eve after a long journey from Amsterdam, we were notified by hostess that she made a double booking for those 3 nights and there was no room for us anymore. Most hotels in Havana were fully booked in this ultra-high tourist season, so after hours of searching we ended up at a mediocre hotel far from the city centre that cost USD 190 for one night. The next day we were (financially) forced to leave Havanna. Needless to say, this ruined most of our new years' celebrations and the beginning of our holidays.
