About Bazils Hostel
Bazil's Hostel is a Surfing NZ Accredited Surf School and now has even free wifi and free transport to the beaches. They can also arrange drop-off & pick-up to your adventure destination. If you're not so active, Bazil's Hostel is just the perfect place to relax and take in some of NZ’s best scenery & meet some "Coasters".
Bazil's Hostel is minutes walk from Westport city center and offers dorms and privates. The backpackers provides not only free wifi and transport to the beaches, but also bike and surf boardsfor hire. All of this in a peaceful garden setting with hammocks and spacious common areas where to relax.

Located on the stunning West Coast of the South Island, your gateway to hiking, kayaking, surfing, mountain biking and caving adventures as well as your getaway from the 9-5 lifestyle, there is plenty of room on site to relax, while also being centrally located in town, close to bars, shops and cafés.

Shared facilities include 2 TV rooms, 2 lounges, outdoor covered BBQ area which is also suitable to store motorbikes & bicycles. Lots of quiet garden areas to sit & relax with a good book. We have free sports equipment including volleyball, cricket, rugby balls, soccer balls and squash rackets. Also free movies, hammocks, free herbs from the garden, internet & WiFi, off-street parking, laundry. Great mountain bikes, surf boards, paddleboards and kayaks for hire. Real & cosy fire places.
