Room types
It has a maximum occupancy of 92. We have 4 and 6 bed en-suite dorms as well as private double and queens rooms. The hostel provides free linen and towels for all guests and every bathroom includes hair and body wash. Each room has been fitted with double glazing and shutters to keep the heat in and the noise out. And there's a heat pump/reverse-cycle air-conditioner in every room, so you can stay warm in winter and cool in summer.
Location and surroundings
Absoloot Hostel Queenstown is situated right next door to Earnslaw Park in the centre of town, so everything is nearby! There's a chocolate shop underneath us, and pubs 30 seconds walk all around. The hostel is on the Wakatipu lakefront, so there is amazing views on every level, and you can check out all of the action that takes place on the water. Awesome for WinterFest and New Year's!

The 24hr guest loungeroom has SKY TV, USB with movies, XBox, Nintendo Wii and boardgames. The Kitchen has an awesome view over Lake Wakatipu and bi-fold windows so it can get those summer breezes through. It's a fully equipped kitchen with stoves/ovens, refrigeration, FREE tea/coffee/hot chocolate, FREE spices for you cooking pleasure, and all crockery and cookery requirements!vReception area with gas fireplace and generous meeting area, tour desk, computer terminals and FREE unlimited wifi.
