New International Musik in Hamburg

Reeperbahn Festival is a famous music event in Hamburg. Hamburg is one of the world’s music capitals, because of the record labels, concert promoters, studios and artists , the music industry is here in force. The Reeperbahn is a popular area in Hamburg; known for its countless clubs offering international live music. And became a stage for music trends in Europe, for 3 days in September.

Over 10,000 visitors attended the Reeperbahn Festival, when it was first launched in September 2006. More than 200 bands on 20 platforms. This event attracted many music fans and is one of the most important festival’s of Hamburg. From September 24th for three long days Hamburg will rock, swing and show performances of national and international bands.

This year you can see performances by international artists as: Adiam Dymott from Stockholm. Her self-titled debut album was released earlier this year and fuses an effortless lightness with snotty Indie sounds and sticky, catchy melodies. Au Revoir Simone from New York will charm you with their girly soft voices and their lovely electronic melodies. This year, Au Revoir Simone release their third album “Still Night, Still Light” and the Reeperbahn Festival gives the opportunity to play some of the new songs! Don’t miss The Sea from UK, the two brothers from Cornwall. One of them passionately thrashing the drums while the other is going crazy on the guitar. Their music is influenced by loud Rock'n'Roll. Acts like Led Zep and The White Stripes, their live shows can easily get out of hand.

Do not forget to rock with Katzenjammer, this band from Oslo plays amazing Norwegian Folk-Rock. These ladies use a horde of instruments ranging from banjos to mandolins - there's even a kazoo – to create the perfect soundtrack for a wild night. So get on your dancing shoes, tell all your mates and surrender yourself to Katzenjammer. And if you like to dance, there is WhoMadeWho! The Danish trio has just released their second album „The Plot“ earning them much critical acclaim. It's the perfect mix: A lot of synthies, incredibly catchy melodies and a healthy dose of rock - „The Plot“ has everything! Best mix from Indie, Rock, Funk and high spirits.
