Through the wild and strange Germany

What do you know about Germany? The most popular cities in Germany are Berlin, Munich and Hamburg! Sure, Berlin is fantastic city, Munich is an amazing place and Hamburg is gorgeous. But it is not all! Germanyhas a lot a nice places to discover. The nature and prettiness of this country. Green meadows, blue lakes, high mountains and dark forests, you will miss nothing! And the friendly people are always happy to meet you.

Hostels in Freiburg

One of the nicest cities in South of Germany is Freiburg, on the western edge of the Black Forest. Freiburg straddles the Dreisman river, on the foothills of the Schlossberg. The city is bordered by the Black Forest mountains and has a warm and sunny climate. Freiburg is a city for young people, there is the famous Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg, Medical Center, Freiburg University of Education, Protestant University of Applied Sciences Freiburg, Freiburg Music University, Catholic University of Applied Sciences Freiburg and more. It is an university town with many international students and therefore it has a great night live with lots of pubs, clubs and live music. You can stay in this romantic city in Hotel Sonne. The Hotel Sonne is run by a young family a nicely furnished and clean accomomodation. They also rent bicycles.

Hostels in Heidelberg

On other nice destination in Germany is Heidelberg. Heidelberg was the centre of the epoch of 'Romance', there was a famous circle of poets. This attracts more than 3.5 million visitors every year. There are many events: in spring, the 'Heidelberger Frühling' Classic Music Festival, in July and August there is the 'Heidelberger Castle Festival'. The most popular event is on the first Saturday in June and September, and the 2nd Saturday in July – the old town festival with Medieval Market, arts and crafts market, with music from Samba to Rock and fireworks. Heidelberg is a university town with Europe's oldest educational institutes, found in 1386 is the University of Heidelberg. You can sleep in Heidelberg at Guesthouse Kerle, it is a small familiar accommodation near the vineyards with a beautiful view on the Rhine valley. The house is very quite and also central, you can reach Heidelberg City centre in about 10 Minutes by tram.

Hostels in Passau

Passau is located in Bavaria and is known also as the Dreiflüssestadt (City of Three Rivers). Old city with gothic and baroque architecture and thanks to tree rivers there are many river cruises down Danube from Passau to Vienna. The best place to stay is Danubius Hostel, a double room costs 60€ and a bed 19,50€. You will be hosted in a lovely furnished room with shared kitchen, bathroom and toilet. There is a beautiful terrace garden that can be used in summer, with a amazing view of Passau. But attention: there are two cats in the hostel, so if you have a cat allergy, please be aware!

Hostels in Füssen

Füssen is an other nice small city in Bavaria on the frontier with Austria. Füssen is the highest town in Bavaria, there are the famous 'Hohes Schloss' (High Castle), the former summer residence of the prince bishops of Ausburg, and on of Bavaria's largest and best preserved late Gothic castle complexes. In the area you will find the famous castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. In summer you will enjoy Forggensee , it is a beatifull a man-made lake .You can stay in Füssen in House L.A , where a double room costs only 42€. The hostel is a 3 minutes walk to the Old Town, right on the King Ludwig Promenade, which will take you to the lake Forggensee in only 10 Min by foot. The House is perfect for individual travellers, families, small groups or couples on a budget, who wish to explore the region or are planning a weekend away. Many restaurants, pubs and bars are nearby. If you like an active holiday you can enjoy - swimming, surfing and boat trips in lake Forggensee, cycling and hiking in the mountains or around one of the many lakes in the region. In the winter it is a good place for skiing, snowboarding and ice-skating.

Hostels in Regensburg

Regensburg is situated at the confluence of rivers Danabue and Regen in Bavarian Forest. The large medieval centre of the city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is known for its medieval and romantic flair throughout Europe. You will find the most famous sites in the city: the Dom - the Regensburg Cathedral, Church of St. James, Town Hall and a many castles in the area. You can stay in Brok Lane Hostel This is a small and comfortable hostel in a convenient location. If you spend a night with your friends and hang out in a pub, or if you are biking through Germany in need of a cheap place or if you are on a lonely business trip you are welcome. The rooms are nice and cosy, and there is a small kitchen.

Hostels in Naumburg

Naumburg is a small city in the beautiful area of Hesse, it is located in the centre of the German castles and wine region in the middle of Germany. The old Town has a lot of historical and architectural jewels, such as the Naumburg Cathedral, the Nietzsche-Haus and the Marientor. But not only the city, the charming environment with castles, vineyards and greenery has so much to offer. Nice to discover with a bike. If you like sport, the best address for you is Sport- and Youthpark Euroville, double room costs only 49€. The rooms in the hotel are modern and comfortable furnished, breakfast, lunch and dinner are severed in European style Restaurant. Wernigerode has a lot of sight seeings and attractions, such as: interesting Gothic buildings, including a fine town hall with a timber facade of 1498. And this city is located in Harz-Area, mountain range in central Germany. The highest point is The Brocken (1,141 meters) and this area is very popular for skiing and hiking. You can stay in the cosy hostel Harz Hostel right in the centre of Wernigerode, just a short trip away from all the important sites and events of the city. Hostels in Potsdam

Close to Berlin you will find the noble city Potsdam. It was a residence of the Prussian kings until 1928. Around the city there are a series of interconnected lakes and unique cultural landscapes, in particular the parks and palaces of Sanssouci, the largest Worls Heritage Site in Germany. Potsdam is famous as the centre of European immigration. Its religious tolerance attracted people from France, Russia, the Netherlands, and Bohemia. Now the most prominent people in Germany who work in Berlin are living in Potsdam, and it is an expensive city. But you can stay in Quartier - Potsdam Hostel for 19€ and feel like a star.
