Spend Little, Win Big in Las Vegas

Low budget alternative that can make your dream vacation to Las Vegas come true!

It's called the entertainment city of the world, or Sin City, with a reputation that needs no further explanation. But ironically, Las Vegas also has the highest numbers of churches per capita in the US - which has more to do with the tradition of getting married in Vegas, than the urgent need for its ”sinners” to find resolution. And there are plenty of opportunities to be 'bad' in Vegas...gambling, strip-shows and hard-core partying to name a few.

It used to be a simple stopover for water in the Nevada desert, on the pioneer trail to the west. And the valley was of little importance until the generous legislation of gambling 1931, that kicked off the building of this Casino town in the middle of nowhere. Las Vegas soon became the playground for Hollywood stars and mobsters and has successfully kept its attaction as an entertainment haven over the years.

A must-see on your trip to Vegas is to take a day tour by bus to the Grand Canyon. Its breathtaking view and air of timelessness will give your modern soul a moment's peace and perspective on things.

Have you ever been to Venice, Italy? Nevermind that! Visit a man-made Venice in Las Vegas instead! At the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino you have everything and more a trip to the real Venice can ever offer. Take a Gondola tour along the Grand Canal, stroll around the cobblestone walkway where you can shop amongst the 80 boutiques and restaurants, or watch live performances at Vegas' very own St. Mark's Square - proving that no idea is too crazy for Las Vegas...

The Mirage, is one of the most famous casinos in Las Vegas, designed as a Polynisian resort with a fake vulcano as one of its major attractions. It's overwhelming luxury set a whole new standard to live up to for casinos to come when it was built in 1989 for 600 million dollars. It was one of the most expensive hotels ever built in the world - but it was such a huge success that already after only 18 months, the loan was paid off.

So to conclude, there are plenty of fun things to spend your money on in Vegas.

Some good options to lay your head for those few hours of rest you'll need are:

Tod Hostel & Hotel is one of Vegas most popular motels turned into hostel, with a perfect location right on the strip and their own swimming pool with frequent pool parties. And since this is Vegas where anything is possible, they also arrange for free limousine tours with free nightclub access.
