Ski like an Olympic champion in Lillehammer, Norway.

Lillhammer in Norway hosted the winter Olympics in 1994 and all the professional facilities with Bob sleds and black slopes are open to the public. If you are a more modest skiier? No worries. Lillehammer offers skiing for all ability levels. This is Norway´s oldest skiing center and perfect for family ski holidays. Season starts already in November and goes on til April.

Norway is known to be a pricey destination, but we have a good hostel in Lillehammer, Hostel Stasjonen, where you can get a doubleroom with bathroom for only 80 Euro, including breakfast. Plus here you have access to a fully equipped guest kitchen so you can save even more. Buses will take you right from the door to the slopes, and at the hostel you can also get discounts for tours, and sports activities.

There are about 50 slopes around the mountains in Lillehammer, and with great opportunity for trekking in the off-season, in the mountains and around Norways biggest lake Mjosa. With only 25 000 habitants Lillehammer has managed to keep it´s small town charm with cosy after ski spots and boutiques for shoppings.

Lillhammer is an historical town habited since the Iron age and for those with an interest for history, you should visit Europe´s largest out door museum Maihaug, with 200 historical buildings.

If you are a cross-country skiier you find 97 miles of prepared tracks in the area and for the more adventurous there are many options besides skiing -why not drive your own dog sled?

Lillehammer is easily reached by direct trains from Oslo airport Gardemoen and Lillehammers hostel Stasjonen is like the name implies -right next to the train station.

Book your stay in Lillehammar at Stasjonen here.

Welcome!
