Purple Snapper has a total of 21 rooms
- 7 double or single native style private or shared backpacker rooms which can each accommodate 2-3 guests. The shared rooms are each equipped with a fan and have an external shared bathroom.
- 10 en-suite fan rooms for 2-3 guests. The fan rooms feature a private bathroom with either a hot or a cold shower, twin single or double beds and come with a free breakfast.
- 4 en-suite air conditioned rooms for up to 6 guests. Each with either one or 2 double beds.
Location and surroundings
Malapascua Island is a friendly 1.8 square kilometer island 45 minutes boat ride off the north tip of Cebu Island. It's the closest island to the only location in the world where Thresher Sharks are seen on a daily basis year round. Manta Rays, White Tip Shark are also seen daily at a nearby dive site and Hammerhead Shark are regularly spotted nearby. Aside from the big fish there are ship wrecks, drift wall dives, incredible macro and numerous coral gardens to explore.
Services and facilities
Purple Snapper features one of the few swimming pools on the island which is maintained to a high standard. Around the swimming pool there is a wooden decked area with a gazebo and pool bar. Next to the pool there is a volleyball court and a tennis table. At the front of the resort there is a restaurant and a bar. The restaurant is open from 7 am to 11 pm and serves a range of local and international dishes. The main bar features a good quality billiard table and lounge music.
