Hostel 639 provides clean, budget accommodation for travellers in London and is close to Kensal Green tube station and Portobello Road. Providing Wi-Fi friendly rooms and dorms, the party hostel has a Moroccan style bar and Brazilian restaurant. The north London hostel also caters for groups.

Room types
We aim to provide good nights sleep in private rooms (quads, 6 and 8-bed private) as well as in dorms (with 4, 6, 8 and 14 beds) all with their own shower and basin amenities. Dorms can be mixed, male or female. All our sleeping areas come with heating and clean bedding including duvets, pillows and sheets.
Location and surroundings
Hostel 639 is easily located opposite the Kensal Green tube and the number 18 bus stops right out the front. A 10 minute walk down the road you are at Sainsbury's supermarket and a further 10 minutes from there you are at Portobello Road . Portobello Road is home to the famous Notting Hill Market and Antiques Market. You can find anything from shoes and clothing to fresh fruit and vegetables.

We only stayed for two nights and were actually in the hostel very little. The rooms are an ok size, but a bit shabby. The toilets were kept quite clean which I thought was the most agreeable part of the hostel. The service was marginal and the location is a bit of a obstacle. Overall, you get what you pay for.
showers inside the room don't leave any privacy to put some clothes on afterwords. Also it would be great to have little lamps beside the beds to be able to read at night when the other guests sleep.
Very friendly staff, no problems with organising a disco, fantastic karaoke night!, some problems with getting hot water to make tea or coffee, not enough space to eat supper indoor.
We got there by the courtesy coach after waiting for it about an hour, but it was really helpfull since the underground in London is so expensive... the first night we shared room with 2 ladies who seemed were living there for months, the room was a disaster, but after other two friends arrived, we got our own room and everything was perfect... the staff was really helpful providing us with everything we needed for our beds and the rooms were preatty clean. Although it was kind of crazy having breakfast there (because it was always so full of people :P) it was good too... It's a little bit far from london's center (about half an hour by underground), but it has an underground station right in front of the building.
The hotel is really dirty and they don't care aboout the clients ... i'm disappointed, the pictures are different and they lie you about how much you have to walk, i was hopping something better.
