Los Andes Hostel

The staff at Los Andes was amazing. I felt a little lost because I am alone in Bogota, but the staff helped me sooooooooooooo much. They were literally amazing. If anyone I know ever comes to Bogota, I will demand that they stay at Los Andes Hostel. My experience there was really great.

The Wandering Paisa Backpackers Hostel

For anyone looking to get away from the gringo tourist track, this hostel is in the perfect location. Really easy access to the city, especially with help from the local staff who were full of suggestions and super patient with my beginner Spanish. There's bars and restaurants all around, cheap and great for people watching, plus it's only a short cab to clubs in Poblado and closer and it was easy to round up people from the bar to go out. TWP is still new and looks like it could be finished but the owners are improving and adding everyday. Wii, great kitchen, free salsa lessons, beer on tap, nice decor with murals, clean bathrooms, and solid bunks. They had everything in the hostel and all the information about Medellin to create an amazing experience and make me want to come back a second time, both to the city and hostel!
