The Spoon and the Stars is housed in an early 19th century building with original feature such as the sash windows and shutters, the front door and the interior woodwork and the stairway.

Our property includes an 8-bed and a 10-bed mixed dormitory rooms, and private bedrooms that are either en suite or have access to our tiled shared shower and bathroom facilities.

Services and activities

Guests can relax in the comfortable TV room, or hang out in the outdoor courtyard with bbq and a raised garden. Guests also have access to The Cave, a cosy little niche and big favourite with all visitors. Every guest is also able to enjoy a complimentary Continental breakfast, available daily from 8AM to 10AM. Free WiFi is also available and accessible throughout the building.

This hostel is approximately 30 minutes' drive from Dublin Airport and roughly 10 minutes from Newgrange, Monasterboice, Slane Castle, The Battle of the Boyne, Mellifont Abbey and various other great places of interest. With plenty of local attractions and great pubs and bars to visit, our staff is always happy to share our local knowledge of the area and beyond.
