The RIAD is located at the rear of the Borj Nord, a gate serving as one of the main entrances to the Medina of Fez. This place downstairs is very beautiful downstairs and the host on arrival was extremely helpful and friendly, however, after taking our money, we never saw him again for our two night stay and the only staff member who we had to deal with couldn’t speak French or English, we had many problems of aircon not working and swapping rooms. My aircon worked but was dripping water everywhere and it wouldn’t turn off. We we freezing in the night with no blankets and trying to use Google translate to work things out. We were told the host was busy and when we did finally speak to him on the phone and telling him our issues, he said I can’t hear you and put the phone down ! If you speak Arabic then maybe your stay would be less complicated but the rooms were not of a good standard
