The hostel has 5 rooms but for start only 3 for rent. Each room have a private bath whit hot and cold water 24 hours, air conditioner and electric fan.
Location and surroundings
Concordia Hostel is centrally located. We are in Centro Habana neighborhood between Vedado district and Old Town, only 10 minutes walking to Old Town, 5 minutes to China Town and the seafront (Malecon) and 10 minutes walking to Vedado area, University of Habana. Here you don’t need use a taxi, walking you can discover La Habana and you can fine restaurants, shopping, artesanal market etc...

Compared to other hostels in Cuba it is pretty much as good as it gets. The location is good, most interesting places are in walking distance. What you should know before booking: Price without reservation is 10 CUC per night. You might end up in a two bed dorm, might be a 5 bed dorm, you never know... The price for breakfast is 3 CUC (unlike advertised online...). No towels, no soap. Sometimes no hot water in the shower. The staff is very friendly, especially Rosemary, she is awesome. If you travel alone, it is a good hostel to go to. If you are traveling with someone though, it will probably be cheaper and better to get a casa.
Good place in Havana centre! Walking distance to many places. Hostel is on the first floor, and the rooms (2 or 3 beds) are at the back, away from traffic noise. Towels included. Great place to meet other travelers and share stories. Big table in the living room where breakfast and dinner is served. Friendly staff, and good food made with love! Great place for vegans/ vegetarians like me! Leo is a passionate cook, he prepared during my stay, every evening a different vegan meal! (price 2,50). Would definitely come back.
If you're desperate then this place would probably do, we were as it was the night of the Rolling Stones in Havana and there wasn't any other room to be had. Disgusting breakfast with ants in the cups, on cutlery, in coffee, milk and even cooked into the omelette. Night staff used key to get into our room after midnight and even came back later disturbing us as previous occupant had left something. Didn't feel safe in the area. I suggest that you try everywhere else before booking this place.
Gotta ratchet your expectations down for Cuba. These scores are relative to other Cuban casas/hostels, not hostels in Europe /East Asia.
I enjoyed my stay here, good location in Central Havana. I was there for low season so had the room to myself. The place has lots of potential needs some TLC which the owner is fully aware of but things take time in Cuba. Offered great cheap meals and friendly / helpful staff.
