Casa Hostal Colonial Las Margaritas is a beautifully renovated family-run hostel, centrally located in Trinidad, only a few blocks from the colonial Plaza Mayor, and besides the possibility of renting a room we prepared our guests breakfast and dinner with homemade flavour of our typical food.

Room types
We rent 2 large rooms with 1 double bed plus 1 single bed, TV, fan, air-conditioning, minibar and private bath with hot and cold water. Each room has 1 double bed plus a single bed, a fan, air conditioning, minibar, TV and reading lights.
The private bath has hot and cold water available 24 hours a day, hair dryer and toiletries (soap, shampoo, bath gel and tooth paste). Bed sheets, towels and linen are provide free of cost.
Location and surroundings
We received our guest at the bus stop free of charge.
Please note it is compulsory for check in to produce your passport and Visa.
In order to confirm the booking, please call us or send an email with your time of arrival. If you come by bus we will wait at the bus stop.

Its like a five start hotel, amazing, beatiful colonial house, the room has a private terrace with chairs to rest or dine, really good. not to miss
The website and the owner were not able to organize the reservation. The owner sent me to another place.
Excellent place to stay in Trinidad. Very nice family, clean and neat facilities and a very plesant stay! Strongly recommended!
A beautiful casa and a wonderful family- we didn't want to leave!
Similar to a review on trip advisor we called to check this reservation the day before arriving and all was ok. When we arrived we were taken to a different casa, the sister of the lady from las margaritas. We booked a room with private balcony which this didn't have. We went to las margaritas to check&we were also told that there was a grandma in a hospital so we had to stay at the other casa, much less attractive. They said if we didn't like we could go there on the second night - not sure why as the grandma would still be sick in hospital then!? And they said yamiha doesn't like telling it over the phone....it should be the customers choice whether they rebook as we would have chosen somewhere else! Anyway we obliged at the other hostel, annoyed of course but sympathetic. Then we went to leave, after paying a 10% deposit to secure the room and the sister said the deposit wasn't valid, it didn't go to her or las margaritas and we had to pay the full amount. Again it's not about the actual sum of money, but that we were sent to another casa, far less nice & then had to pay full price again! Like the tripadvisor review we did not trust the story and believe they overbooked&sent leftovers to their sisters casa Hostal rocaverde- we would be interested to know if this has happened to anyone else. We've rated 50% as we can't comment on the actual casa, apart from the reception where they told us we had to stay at the other casa.
