About Montacute Boutique Bunkhouse
Antony and Rose established Montacute Boutique Bunkhouse in early 2014, after taking the property through an extensive renovation period. They live on site at Montacute, together with Antony’s 9 year old daughter, Eve, their Miniature Australian Bulldog, Lily, and their fluffy Tortoiseshell cat, Mrs. Antony and Rose, together with Eve, Lily and Mrs look forward to welcoming you to Montacute, your home away from home in Hobart.
Montacute Boutique Bunkhouse is Hobart's first boutique hostel. Located in the heart of Hobart's historic Battery Point, Montacute is just 5 minutes walk from all of the restaurants, bars, pubs, cafes and galleries of Hobart's famous Salamanca Place.

All beds are made with excellent quality inner spring mattresses, crisp cotton linen, warm doona/duvets and soft woollen blankets. Sleeping bags are not permitted. All bunks have a lamp and a powerpoint per person.
Location and surroundings
Montacute Boutique Bunkhouse is located in historic Battery Point in the heart of Hobart. It is less than 5 minutes walk to all the restaurants, cafes, shops and galleries of Salamanca in the Hobart waterfront precinct. Less than 2 minutes walk away, you'll find Jackman & McRoss (Hobart's favourite cafe), Da Angelo (Hobart's favourite Italian restaurant), Prince of Wales pub ($10 meals) and plenty of shops, parks, services, stores and attractions.

Our facilities include a spacious kitchen with a wide range of appliances, a dining room with a long table that seats 20, two outdoor BBQs, outdoor tables with shade umbrellas, deck chairs, upper and lower balconies with tables for 2 and mountain views, and a sitting room with open log fire. Enjoy our free WiFi throughout or hire a 7-speed Schwinn Cream bike to explore Hobart.
