From the house it just takes a short walk to see the wonders of Havana. You are quickly on the Paseo del Prado with its bronze lions, at the Capitolio and in Old Havana with its beautiful old houses, castles, palaces, convents and parks. The famous cathedral is just a few minutes.

Visit this points of interest in walking distance: Old Square (Plaza Vieja), El Malecon, The Capitolio, Plaza de Armas, Plaza de la Catedral (Havana Cathedral), Paseo del Prado, San Francisco de Asis Square, Castillo de la Real Fuerza, Convento De Santa Clara, Palacio De Los Capitanes Generales, El Templete, Granma Memorial, House of Jose Marti (Casa Natal De Jose Marti), National Museum of Beautiful Arts of Cuba (Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes de Cuba).
I would not recommend Casa Jesus and Maria, as the hosts are not very accommodating (scowls/angry/bad-tempered expressions instead of friendly hellos, each time you walk in the front door), the towels were not replaced on our second day, a noisy street during the night, they barely know any English... and there were some other reasons that I prefer not to discuss online. Completely opposite of the positive experience that we had at our first bed and breakfast while in Havana. Their daughters seam to run the place and we sensed that one of them must really dislike her job and is probably only doing it for the money.
The accomodation is very good and centrally located. Lovely terrace.Maria and Jesus are very welcoming but we had a problem with the final payment which had been increased from when we booked. If you book through an agency get in touch with them before you pay and let them sort it out.
great place would stay again- we left some shoes behind and they kept them safe for us. some confusion over the price however being different to that which we booked due to change in euro rate -which will clearly fluctuate from time to time
