Casa de Avila is a tourist hotel located three blocks from the Arequipa Plaza de Armas and close to all the attractions of the city. Clean, spacious, quiet and very competitive prices. Its amplitude recalls a hotel from the beginning of the century, but with the comforts of a modern hotel.

All standard rooms with private bathrooms, excelent showers, great internet connection, Cable TV (four languages), several electric sockets (220 V)closet, and desk/table.
Doubles with Standard, Queen and King bed options. Family and Twin rooms also available. Towels and linen included.
Location and surroundings
Casa de Avila is located 4 blocks from Main Square and is part of the Historical District. Its close to most of the attractions in the city: colonial buildings, churches, convents, museums, plazas.
Resaturants and pubs in the central area are also at walk distance and easy to come back night time.

Our garden is the main comon area. Sun chairs, tables, umbrellas, and sun every day of the year.
Paco, the famous tortoise is always there waiting to be fed. A character!
Now Breakfast is served in the garden and everybody enjoys it. In Arequipa sun is up before 7 am in the morning. And you will be there taking your breakfast!
The Peruvian Cooking Exerience is our famous activity. On hands cooking every day. And the Pisco Lecture is the party everybody enjoys. Ask on arrival!

The location is not the best but close enough to walk to the center (5 min). This slight (minimum) disadvantage compensates the beautiful & spacious courtyard (massive!) in a peaceful hotel. Recommend to anyone who is looking for taking a refuge from normal tourist traps.
Very neat, central, rather old fashioned (ex-convent type). Problems with wirelesss, no parking, lavatory inside room, curtain shower too short, cable somewhat fuzzy. Good value for the money!
The only problem with this hotel is there lack of 24 hour front desk and a bell that works. I arrived late at midnight and didn't think I was going to get in. They new I was arriving late too. I think it was only though dumb luck that someone answered the door after I pushed open the outer door and knocked on the inner door. Other than that it's A+
Lovely hostel! Really very quiet and cozy. Near pedestrian street, where it is pleasant to walk day and night, many cafes and restaurants for every taste. Helpful staff with good knowledge of English. I will recommend this hostel to my friends.
Nice place. Nice stuff. Just a bit bad organization at breakfast. Bread and coffee are quickly finished. Also wifi works not properly well. Other things are ok. I recommend the place and Arequipa too.
