A Fábrica da Luz is one of the oldest Hydroelectric power station built in Galiza. Fábrica da Luz is located in Mao´s River canyon, in the heart of Ribeira Sacra. Surrounded by chestnut, ash, oaks, hazels, birches, vines .... A wonderful environment where you can rest, do active tourism activities and enjoy the natural and historical heritage of the area.
The facility is located along Mao´s River, a major tributary of the Sil, running down from the Sierra de San Mamede and small waterfalls running through narrow passages and creating small pools where you can give a comfort
