baxpax Mitte Hostel is the first Art Hostel in Germany, actually it is one of the oldest Berlin's hostelsand represents the Australian thought of backpacking in each square millimetre. In the lounge you will make friendships for life. All rooms were designed by international artists.

Location and surroundings
The new pride of our baxpax family is located in the heart of Berlin, just a few walking distance to the Oranienburger Straße, Kunsthaus Tacheles and to the popular nightlife district Hackesche Höfe. Take the bus and be in only 3 minutes at the main station, 3 U-stations to the Brandenburg Gate and only 4 U-stations to the lively Potsdamer Platz.
Services and facilities
Our hostel is on 2 floors. A kitchen, reception and lounge provide the sociability factor. Cooking skills can be shown and will be deepened in the charming lounge. Have fun while lounging, eating and flirting. We are not a party hostel but we will help you to have a good time in Berlin. Great hostel, even staying in the 32 person room was lots of fun. Kitchen is a plus, and rooms are nice and cheap (although no breakfast is provided.) Would say in the top 10% of all hostels I have stayed in (which is a lot.)
Good location, and good prices, but if you're planning on staying in one of the huge dorms, its not near as cool. I'd defintiely suggest paying the extra 2 euro a night or whatever for a smaller room.
Good resources for getting to know the city, free walking tours, a very friendly atmosphere. Not especially central, but near a metro stop and walkably near the center. 'Plus' supermarket just down the road!
Real cool Backpacker Hostel in downtown (Mitte). Very nice individual rooms (I stayed at the 4 elemens rooms ;-) with shared bathroom). Atmosphere phantastic, staff super helpful and they play best Music. Recption area is the perfect place to check mail and meet fellow travaellers. I really like the kitchen...
The hostel was very good, very organized and comfortable. The bathrooms were clean, the beds not so much, but nothing terrible. The location is fairly good, not so near the city center, but has a lot of transport near, which leaves you there in a few minutes. The price is very good for what they offer. One problem (for us) is that it was full of young people who were noisy, but the atmosphere was great and it was a lot of fun.
