In Shoreditch, you’re always in good company. This area is known as being the stomping ground of some of the UK’s most well-known characters: Banksy, Shakespeare, Jack the Ripper and Russell Brand. Google has its UK headquarters here and the area is fast becoming known as Europe’s Silicon Valley.
The Dictionary Hostel is a boutique hipster hostel situated in the heart of Shoreditch in East London. Close to Old Street tube station and Liverpool Street station, the trendy hostel has Wi-Fi friendly dorms, rooms and a funky bar called "Translate". The hostel is close to Spitalfields Market.

Room types
You will receive our very best attention to make sure that you have a brilliant stay with us. We want to impress you and we want to make you feel welcome! Our rooms range all the way from 16 to 4 bed shared dorms, most of which are en-suite. All dorm beds have lockable security cages underneath the bunks where you can store your luggage safely. We also have a couple of private double rooms for when you want a need that bit of extra privacy.
Location and surroundings
We’re only bus trips away from the Tower of London, Oxford Street, Covent Garden and within walking distance of Spitalfields Market, the Geffrey Museum, Brick Lane and literally dozens of bars, clubs, boutique shops and markets. We are even near a couple of Banksy’s!
Services and facilities
We don’t like to brag, but we do have it all: awesome staff, free wi-fi, 24 hour reception, free basic breakfast, roof terrace, self catering kitchen, laundrette, busy on-site bar, table football, and coffee shop. We provide free luggage storage for you on the day of your arrival and check-out. There’s also a 20% guest discount in the bar & cafe too!

great, laid back, lovely staff (especially the french guy) but needs more females! Male to female staff ratio is way off! Just cus it's catered to a young audience doesn't mean it needs to be full of 21 year old males!
Really liked this hostel.Location is brilliant. Hope to return in a few months to see it when all the renovations are finished!
Very friendly hostel. Cafe bar was a definite plus. Lots to do and see round about, some really good places to eat that were reasonably priced. Easy to get into central London too. Would definitely return and recommend the Dictionary .
GOOOOD
Stayed there till i found a room and really enjoyed my stay. Staff is super-nice, dorms are cool -lots of snoring people but not their fault right. Only anoying point is that they were no kitchen when i stayed there.
