Taiwanmex is a very cool and friendly guest house in Taipei, it is located next to MRT Zhongshan Station and bus stop, 10mins walking distance from Taipei Main Station, very easy reach most of the hot spots in Taipei.

Room types
Taiwanmex has a buildings and two independent mini houses.
The first one is located on the 2nd Floor. It has bunk bed share rooms, two share bathrooms, calm and peaceful cause the rooms do not have windows.
The other one is on the 3th Floor, one minute walk from the first building. It has Single/ Queen Private en-suite room, Four beds en-suite female with shared room and Four beds private en-suite room, which have TV, AC, FREE Wi-Fi.
Location and surroundings
It only needs 30seconds to MRT Zhongshan Station, 1min to the bus stop (line 100) and department stores. The Long Distance Bus Station is only 5mins on foot, while the Taipei Main station takes 10mins.
It is very convenient to reach most of the hot spots in Taipei, like Taipei World Trade Center, 101 Building and Peitou Hot Spring (20mins), Presidential Office Building and C.K.S. Memorial Hall (9-10mins), and in only 30mins you will arrive at the beach. 40 mins to C.K.S. International Airport

Friendly staff. Located near to the MRT station.
We couldn't actually check in until about five pm, which was a little annoying, but understandable when you stay at Taiwanmex. The atmosphere is very laid back, with some long-term residence and short-termers that come and go. Everything is surprisingly clean for the price. I had a great stay there, and I can actually see myself becoming one of the long-termers.
The owner is a very nice and helpful lady. She would try her best to help the fellow travellers to solve their problems. I recalled one night, when I went back to the hostel at about 12am midnight, I chatted with her while she was looking for a solution for a traveller to clarify the itinerary and how to take the High Speed Rail from Tauyuan airport... the traveller had not even checked in the hostel yet... I was really touched by her attitude of going for an extra mile to help the visitors to Taiwan....

This is maybe not the most comfortable place, but it's friendly to travellers. If u r backpacker this is a very good adress. Just at the railway and metro station, with helpful ppl.
