What is annoying in States, you never know how much you will pay, since they dont show the taxes in the price. That was a big surprise for me as i was about to pay. It should be included in prise and shown right by the booking how much do i have to pay. The staff was ok, but it wasnt that clean. The location was not bad, but you need to walk a bit from bus/tram stop. From the metro is a quite a walk, coz it's uphill.

Located in a shady neighbourhood, close to the center though. We didn't get the type of room we reserved for the first night. There is no housekeeping service (showed by not cleaning the vomit in the sink in one of the "bathrooms"). Quite a disgusting place to stay, try to avoid if possible.

very clean bathrooms. not so central but there is a bus going right outside to union square. takes about 20 min. staff is friendly but this is not a party place. 50 percent young people. 50 old and families. but over all a good place!

Rooms not so bad, just tight. My friends said, that bedbugs bit them. Shared bathrooms really dirty. You better not touch anything there. Pluses: free wireless internet, but only in the kitchen. Kitchen. Nice Staff. Next time I'll try to find something better.

There is a great front desk staff named Cora, who are very warm-hearted. The location is also great and convinient, located in the downtown of SF. Unfortunately I do not have enouth time to experience the hostel activities.

The hostel is located right in middle of downtown, great location. Very clean and fun place to stay at, the staff was very nice! I will definitely being staying here next time I'm in San Francisco!

The hostel is not the nicest one Ive ever stayed at. Its location was ok to me, but I heard locals say its not the nicest area, but I felt safe. There were quite a few nice restaurants, bars and clubs around. Its close to the famous cable cars and a lot of different bus lines. The hostel was not very clean, they clean the floor and the facilities in the bathroom, but you shouldnt have a closer look at windows, shelves, tiles and walls, they were all dirty. There were spider webs on the door frame! For breakfast they have pancakes (if you can make them yourself). The staff gave me a hard time cancelling my last night, I told them right away when I got there, but they said I have to pay first (since I had reserved) and then I could get the money back from the manager. The problem was that the manager never seemed to be there. So it took me 3 days and I had to talk to 4 different people before I finally got my money back! They shouldnt make it so hard for backpackers to be flexible.
