심플하지만 아주 편안한 객실을 제공하며, 개인 화장실, 헤어 드라이기, 에어컨, 난방, 위성 TV, 직통 전화기, 무료 와이파이(객실 당 하나의 기계)가 갖추어져 있다. 베이직룸과 스탠다드룸에는 내부 전경이 있고 파노라마룸에서는 거리가 내려다 보인다(요청 시 추가 요금 발생).

Hotel Universal은 포르토의 역사 중심지인 Avenida dos Aliados 거리에 위치하며, 시청, S. Bento 기차역, 클레고리스 타워 등 유명한 건축물들 사이에 둘러싸여 있다. 편리한 위치에 있어 모든 지역까지 도보, 버스, 지하철을 이용하여 쉽게 찾아갈 수 있다. 지하철역까지 도보로 2분 소요되며, 공항까지는 대중 교통을 이용하여 20-30분 소요된다.

아침 식사: 빵, 크로아상, 요거트, 치즈, 햄, 따뜻한 음료(커피, 차, 우유), 오렌지 주스. 로비에는 바, 당구대(시간 당 7.5유로), 컴퓨터(시간 당 1.6유로)가 있다.
1층부터 리셉션까지 계단이 높으며 장애인과 연장자들을 위한 엘레베이터가 있다.
