Most of the rooms are dormitories, recently restored with all the useful feature and all with air-conditioning, for guests looking for more privacy, the hostel offers double rooms ensuite too.
All our rooms are well maintained and has air-conditioning, in addition we offer private rooms - double rooms ensuite.
Location and surroundings
The location of the hostel could not be better, it is Copacabana, only 3 blocks away from the city's most famous beach and surrounded by bars, shops, restaurants and other points of interest of backpackers.
Neverthelss, the street of the hostel is quiet and safe and the forest is the main neighbour. If you are lucky, may see monkeys and other animals nearby.
If you are looking for tranquility, this is your place.

The Bamboo Rio Hostel has several common spaces for all the guests, including a swimming pool, a fully equipped kitchen, a BBQ corner and the authentic Bamboo Bar and a Mountain Lounge, close the forest surrounding the building.

Although being in the middle of everything the hostel is situated in a safe and indeed very quiet neighbourhood. During the off-season it has been an ideal base to explore amazing Rio. Overall a very pleasent stay.
