The room was a private one with twin beds. We had a private bathroom also and plus: fridge and cook inside the room. It was a totally renewed accomodation, so it looked. Good air conditioning. I just loved it! But that is all I can say by now for next morning we moved to another place in southbeach, where we really wanted to stay (we were misled by a website showing the this hotel in southbeach). By the way, I would recommend a bit of caution when booking through internet: try to check the position of the hostel you intend to stay, sometimes they show non accurate information.
I had a wonderful time at this hostel. It was very clean and comfortable. There was a tv and a fridge in each room and nice simple bathrooms. It was a bit far from South Beach, but I think that is an appeal to be away from the hustle and bustle. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Cheap but a little bit noisy

If you're looking for a decent reasonably priced place to stay by the beach, Lombardy fits the bill. It's nothing fancy! If you're into your hotels having a lot of extras and glitz, look elsewhere. The room I stayed in had a full kitchen and even pots and cooking utensils(!). It felt more like a cute studio apartment than anything else. But it's across the street from the water and near the action on South Beach, has competent courteous staff, a washer and dryer for use and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
