Bodega Hotel, Hotel ★ in Hanoi

positive: staff is very helpful when you're there! had a problem with my visa card and they took care of it right away. negative: I booked a room for 3 nights. so there should have been a free pick up from the airport. when I called to confirm everything they didn't understand me. so no pick up and even!!! no room! I don't know whose fault it was (hostelz.com or bodega hotel). as this hotel seems to be fully booked all the time it was hard to get a room (dorm only).

I found that the staff were very professional and many could speak and understand English well. The staff were also very accommodating and were willing to cater to my varied requirements and demands, for example when I needed a place to shower after having checked out that morning, they obliged me with access to a dorm bathroom. When I realised on the way to the train station that I had left stuff behind in the hotel, their Mr Sang got someone else to rush it over and saw me up my train with 10 minutes to spare. I really do appreciate their warmth and help. It is a pleasure to stay with them. The hotel is a little on the old side, but my private room was clean and pleasant. However, I would advise against booking tours / hotels in other parts of Vietnam through them as they take a hefty cut, a fact which was not mentioned to me. Better to seek out a recognised tour operator and book directly.
