In the 70’s many hippies, local and international artist's created the ‘Arts Factory’! Nowadays it still mantains its spirit and now the Arts Factory Backpackers Lodge in Byron Bay offers friendly atmosphere 10 minutes walk from the beach with a pool and hammocksfor you to relax.

We offer a wide range of accommodation ranging from 4,6 and 10 share dorms, female only dorms, twins and doubles and even teepees, island bungalows and jungle camping.
Location and surroundings
Located only 10 minutes walk from the beach, with Byron Bay Markets, shops, bars and cafes even closer, we are an integral part of the Arts Factory Village which incorporates the Historic Buddha Bar Restaurant, The Byron Lounge Cinema and Buddha Gardens Day Spa.
Services and facilities
Laze by the pool, swing in the hammocks and soak up the friendly atmosphere for which we are universally famous, join in a game of table tennis, basketball or volleyball, or sweat it out in the sauna. In the evening enjoy DJ’s, bands, fire twirling performances or talent shows.
Our funky backpackers organizes workshops for Didgeridoo Making and Yoga and if you are musically inclined, we even have our very own recording studio!
