Erityiset ehdot1. Bookings

1.1 Guests are required to confirm their ETA (estimated time of arrival) via e-mail so that their reservation can be guaranteed after 14:00 HRS (Peru Time - GMT -5) on the day of arrival. If your itinerary changes or your bus/plane is delayed unexpectedly, please e-mail us at

1.2 Full upfront payment of all nights and rooms/beds booked must be made upon arrival at reception.

1.3 Failure to check out by the stipulated time (11:00AM) will result in a penalty charge equal to an extra night's stay.

1.4 For shared dorm room bookings, we cannot guarantee that all guests in the booker's party will be placed in the same dorm room.

1.5 Guests staying in shared dorm rooms must be 18 years of age or older. Babies, children or underage guests are not allowed in shared dorm rooms.

2. Fees & Taxes

2.1 Based on national tax laws, Peruvian citizens and foreigners staying more than 59 days in Peru must pay an 18% IGV tax in addition to the total amount of their stay. To be exempt from this 18% tax (IGV), a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented.

Please note both documents are required for tax exemption. Guests who are not able to present both documents will be required to pay the 18% IGV tax. Likewise, the 18% tax will be applied to the total amount of your stay if there is one or more taxable guests in your booking.

Foreign business travelers who require an invoice (known as Factura), will also be charged the additional 18% tax regardless of the length of their stay in Peru.

2.2 Shared dorm rooms do not include towels. You may rent towels at an extra fee of 5.00 PEN per towel. An ID may be requested and will be returned to you after the rented towels are returned. Private rooms include 1 (ONE) towel per guest. Extra towels come at an extra fee, too.

3. Payment

3.1 Payment can be made in cash (Peruvian soles or US dollars) or by credit/debit card* (Peruvian soles or US dollars).

3.2 Due to Peruvian bank regulations, ripped, worn, old or stained US dollar notes will not be accepted.

4. Relocation

4.1 In the very unlikely event that the Banana's Adventure Hostel is unable to provide the required number and/or type of rooms/beds reserved by the guest, the hostel reserves the right to arrange alternative accommodation of the same or similar standard for the guest, within the same locality. This event will not release the guest of the obligation to pay the hostel for their stay nor does it entitle them to a discount or compensation.

5. Right of Refusal & Expulsion

5.1 Our Hostel reserves the right to refuse a guest entry and/or accommodation if the hostel’s staff reasonably considers that the guest is under the influence of alcohol or drugs or is behaving in a threatening, abusive or otherwise unacceptable manner. In the same way, any kind of behavior deemed inappropriate, violent or disturbing to guests or staff members will result in the immediate expulsion of the guest and if necessary, local authorities may be called in to intervene. Airport authorities may also be notified.

5.2 Discrimination on grounds of ethnicity, nationality, gender, religion/beliefs or sexual orientation/gender identity is strictly prohibited.

6. Hostel Rules

6.1 The Hostel's bar & restaurant closes between 22h /22h 30. Quiet hours: between 22h & 10h.

6.2 Swimming Pool Hours are between 9h & 22h every day. Swimming pool depth: 1.60m / 5.25 ft.

6.3 Parties or excessive noise are not allowed at our hostel. It is not possible to play your own music in rooms or common areas.

6.4 Guests are not allowed to bring their own food or drink (including but not limited to alcohol) into the hostel for consumption or storage at the hostel.

6.5 Illegal drugs of any kind or origin (either for self-consumption or sale and including but not limited to cannabis) are not permitted within the hostel’s premises.

6.6 Guests must bring their own padlock for lockers.

6.7 Guests must return their room key and towels to reception at check-out.

7. Parking

7.1. There is no parking space inside our Hostel. There is street parking space available outside. Even though our overnight receptionist may happily watch your vehicle upon request, we are not liable for any loss of or damage to it.

7. Liabilities for losses, damages, etc.

7.1 Bananas Adventure Hostel will not be liable in any way for any loss of or damage to valuables or any personal effects that are left either inside or outside the rooms or anywhere within our premises.

7.2 Lockers are available to protect your valuables at all times. Please, ensure that you keep your room key in a safe place and hand it back to reception at check-out. Penalty for non-return or loss: 50 PEN (local currency).

7.3 Guests will be liable for any loss, damage to or loss of hostel property or personal injury they may cause at the hostel or during a certain activity.

7.4 Guests will also be responsible for any psychological or physical damage caused to another guest, staff or visitor.

7.5 Any indemnification made by the guest must cover the total costs and expenses of repair and/or replacement.

8. Traveling with minors / Underage Guests

Minors or underage companions can only stay at the hostel if accompanied by their parents or legal guardian(s). For legal guardians, proof of legal guardianship will be requested at check-in. Notarized Travel Authorization signed by parents or legal guardians is required for underage guests to stay at our hostel. Underage guests (17 years of age or younger) can stay in private rooms only.

It is the sole responsibility of parents or legal guardians to care for their children or otherwise the underage guests that they are in charge of during their stay at our hostel. Parents or legal guardians will be liable for any event or action that may arise from or occur in relation to the stay of minors or underage guests that they are legally in charge of.false
