Famous for its Jesuit architecture, the ‘religious circuito’ is a top walking tour recommended by Cordoba’s tourist office. Here you will discover the history behind the city’s oldest colonial religious buildings.
These include the Cathedral, the church and convent of Santa Catalina de Siena, also the ‘Iglesia de Santa Teresa y Convento de las Carmelitas’.
Cordoba’s Jesuit complex was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000 and is a must-see attraction. Visitors should also check out the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (Rectory of the University of Córdoba), which is the oldest university in South America and a popular local museum.

The former Argentine prison is a fascinating place to visit. The contemporary art centre is now one of the hottest places to hang out in Cordoba. It’s also a popular lunch spot and has two excellent bars serving red wine and beers.
#3 Go paragliding in La Cumbre
