WHAT TO SEE IN TEL AVIV
Tel Aviv is a modern, sparkling city, where you'll be spoiled for choice on deciding where to spend the night. But Tel Aviv is not only party and modernity, in fact is a city rich in history and it is located near two very important sacred sights for the religious history of the country. We're talking about Jerusalem and Bethlehem.
Jerusalem is only one hour bus ride away from Tel Aviv, while Bethlehem it is around 60 kilometers away.
But let's see together what to see in Tel Aviv.
YARKON PARK
First of all, we sugggest you to take a stroll in Yarkon Park, to sorround yourself with extremely relaxing and fascinating natural landscapes.
The Yarkon Park is the city's public park and it is crossed by the river of the same name.
Take a sit on the shadow of one of its trees and enjoy a day of different green' shades and the israelian families that come here to distract.
TEL AVIV'S ART MUSEUM
As we already mentioned at the beginning of the article, Tel Avis is not only a city on where to experience a fun worldly life, but also a place of culture. This is why we suggest you to go to the Art Museum of Tel Aviv, opened from 1932 and moved to its charming home in 1971.
Inside it you can find art works by Chaïm Soutine, Gustav Klimt, Vasilij Vasil'evič Kandinskij, Joan Miró and Pablo Picasso.
JEWISH MUSEUM (Bet Hatefutsoth)
A museum that deserves to be calmly visited. If you would really want to explore the jewish culture, starting from its history, this is a museum that you cannot miss. Although you should know, that you need at least 3 hours to completely visit it, so you should be well organized.
JAFFA (Old city)
Embedded in the Tel Aviv area, is located the famous Jaffa city, also known as the "Old City". It is said to be the oldest harbour in the world, still in business. It also counted that Jonah came out of the mouth of the whale that swallowed him, right in Jaffa.
TEL AVIV PROMENADE
This long sea promenade runs along the entire coast of Tel Aviv on the Mediterranean Sea. The Tel Aviv Promenade is also very popular with locals.
THE WHITE CITY
We are sure you've already figured out why this district in Tel Aviv is called "white city", in fact, it stands out for its whitewashed buildings. It is worth photographing it.
YITZHAK ROBIN CENTER
The Yitzhak Rabin Center is a library and a very important reserarch center for the city and it is build in memory of the Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, who was murdered.
Inside it, an exibition shows the story of Rabin and the israeli state.
